About Course
AS9100 Calibration: Technician Learning Course
Self-paced | About 90 minutes | Knowledge test included
Calibration decisions in aerospace quality systems need more than a passing reading. They need evidence. This self-directed course helps calibration technicians apply the measurement-control requirements of AS9100D Clause 7.1.5 to everyday work. You learn what makes equipment fit for use, how to show it, and what to do when it isn’t.
You work at your own pace through short lessons, real-world scenarios and three hands-on practice exercises. You decide first, then compare your reasoning with the feedback.
What you’ll learn
- Match equipment to the measurement task and tell standard requirements apart from an organization’s implementation choices
- Build and check a traceability chain, and keep equipment registers, intervals, recalls and status labels in good order
- Review calibration certificates, and interpret as-found and as-left data, error, correction, uncertainty and decision rules
- Respond to out-of-tolerance results by stopping use, preserving evidence and escalating
- Support a look-back assessment of potential product impact
- Control external calibration services
